Exeter city centre is a 25 minute drive from the property and can be easily accessed on the A30.A great day out can be had in Exeter,from shopping, to watching Exeter Chiefs rugby.

Plymouth-

Another great City in Devon is Plymouth.Plymouth city centre is just one hour away from the cottage.As well as having a great shopping mall,you can also do activities such as ice staking and visit places such as the Aquarium.(one hour away)

National trust properties;

Finch Foundry-

Within walking distance of the Barn ( one mile) is the Finch Foundry.Currently the last remaining water-powered Forge in England .

Okehampton Castle-Just a short drive away is Okehampton Castle.This Castle was once the largest in Devon.

Lydford Gorge-This gorgeous Gorge,just a 20 minute drive away,is the deepest in the South West and has a spectacular 30m waterfall.

Castle Drogo-Also 20 minutes away,is Castle Drogo.Constructed between 1911 and 1930,it was the last Castle in England to be built.

Becky Falls-This tourist attraction in Devon,is centered on a waterfall of around 20 metres down a boulder -stewn bed.There is also a wonderful woodland walk with features such as a children's Zoo ,woodland trail and crafts. 35 minutes away.

Bude (Summerleaze) -50 minutes away,Summerleaze is a beautiful beach just minutes from Bude's town centre. Surfing is allowed and dogs are also welcome.

Exmouth-45 minutes away,in South Devon,Exmouth beach has 2 miles of golden sand as well as fascinating rock pools.Attractions include Bowling and the observation wheel. 

Walks on Dartmoor;

Skaigh-Skaigh is in the Hamlet in Belstone Cleave in between Belstone and Sticklepath.Skaigh woods is a beautiful stretch of woods running by the river Taw.Can be walked to from the property ( 1/1/2 miles)

Haytor-One of most visited Tors on Dartmoor,Haytor is known for it's beautiful scenery and huge masses of Granite.30 minute drive away.

Blacktor-Black-Tor copse is one of the best examples of high altitude oak woodland in Britain.There is a 7.4 kilometer loop trail located near Okehampton from Meldon reservoir to Black Tor.This is a 50 minute drive away.
